Privacy Policy — MT: Stock Count & Scan

Last updated: 27 August 2026. Developer: Merchant Tools. Contact: support@merchanttools.eu.

What the app does

MT: Stock Count & Scan lets merchants count physical inventory with a phone camera, review discrepancies against Shopify, and apply the resulting inventory adjustments. To do so it keeps a temporary copy of the variants being counted.

Data we store

We do not collect or store customer personal data (names, emails, addresses, orders). Camera images are decoded on the device by the browser and are never uploaded.

Permissions

The app requests read_products, read_inventory, read_locations to list what to count, and write_inventory which is used only when the merchant explicitly applies a count. The app never modifies products, prices, orders or customers.

Where data is processed

Servers are hosted by Fly.io in Paris (France) and the database by Neon in Frankfurt (Germany), both within the European Union.

Retention and deletion

Sharing

We do not sell or share data with third parties. Data is only processed by our hosting providers (Fly.io, Neon) under their data-processing terms.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above indicates the latest version. Questions: support@merchanttools.eu.
